Dolby Digital and Surround Sound Output:
The XBOX is capable of producing Dolby Digital and Surround Sound Output, however to get Dolby Digital Sound you would normally need to buy a special AV lead, this lead sets the XBOX in Mode 2 and tells the XBOX that an AV connector with digital output is connected, you must then enable the Menu option in the MS or MS Live dashboard: DOLBY (R) SURROUND, for Dolby Digital Sound and underneath this you will also notice a new menu option for DTS Audio.
We can do a mod to your XBOX that enables Dolby Digital and Surround Sound Output, by adding a nice neat RCA phono socket to the back, that looks like it was always meant to have been there.
This mod also sets the XBOX in Mode 2 by making the XBOX think that an AV connector with digital output is connected, thus enabling Dolby Digital and Surround Sound from the RCA phono socket.
Please note: If you have purchased and use the additional XBOX AV RF unit, because you either have an old TV, or your TV does not support scart or composite input, then you should avoid the dolby digital output mod because your XBOX will be set to mode 2 which will disable and prevent the RF unit from working.
If you are buying a Premodded XBOX from us or we are modding your existing XBOX then we can add the Dolby Digital and Surround Sound mod for just £5.00.
